I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
